Cleanout dumpster rental is the most practical and cost-effective way to handle large volumes of household junk — whether you're clearing a garage, downsizing, handling an estate, or managing a tenant turnover. Instead of making a dozen trips to the dump, bagging everything for curbside pickup, or hiring a junk removal crew to haul items out by hand, a roll-off dumpster sits in your driveway so you can load at your own pace and dispose of everything at once.
TapDump delivers cleanout dumpsters next day in 10, 15, 20, and 30-yard sizes. All rentals include a 10-day rental period, delivery, pickup, and disposal at a licensed facility. Pricing is flat and transparent — no fuel surcharges, no environmental fees, no surprise bills after pickup.
Types of cleanout projects
Cleanouts come in all sizes and types. Here's what you typically need based on the space you're clearing.
Tools, boxes, old equipment, seasonal items — typically lighter debris spread across the space
Why: Organized but often cluttered with decades of accumulated stuff
Boxes, old furniture, water-damaged items, workbenches — heavier and more varied than garages
Why: Basements hold old furniture and bulk items that take up volume fast
Seasonal decorations, old clothing, vintage items, insulation — generally lighter but high volume
Why: Lots of boxes but items tend to be light, so volume is the constraint
Entire home contents — furniture, appliances, personal items, decades of accumulation
Why: Full-home cleanouts need either one large dumpster or two smaller ones
Furniture, appliances, junk left by a tenant, renovation waste — most common for property managers
Why: Unit turnovers are one of the biggest drivers of cleanout rental demand
Items not worth moving to a new home — furniture you don't want, duplicate items, worn goods
Why: People purge during moves to reduce transport costs and avoid bringing clutter to the new place
Extreme volume accumulation requiring professional-grade debris removal and sanitation cleanup
Why: Specialized service for hoarding situations that require sensitivity and efficiency

Cleanout tips to save time and money
Separate items you want to donate from items you want to trash. Donation centers will help with pickup for large items if scheduled in advance. Donate what you can — it's faster than sorting everything into the dumpster.
Put the heaviest items (appliances, furniture) on the bottom. This maximizes the weight capacity and helps you fit more into the dumpster before hitting either the volume or weight limit.
Flattened boxes take up 30–40% less space. Cleanouts generate tons of packaging and old boxes — breaking them down is the fastest way to fit more.
Even one can of paint, one propane tank, or automotive fluid can trigger a hazmat fee or rejection of the entire load. Set these aside and dispose separately at an HHW facility.
A second dumpster rental costs almost as much as upgrading to the next size. If you're on the fence between two sizes, choose the larger one — you won't regret having extra space.
If your driveway is decorative, asphalt, or you're concerned about marks, request protective boards at booking. We'll place them under the dumpster at no charge.

About Tapdump
No. The price you see is the price you pay. As long as you stick to accepted materials, there are no weight overage fees. Heavy materials like concrete, brick, and dirt require a Heavy Debris rental at a different rate — we’ll guide you at booking.
